Cynthia Ann Crawford (born February 20 in 1966) is an American model actor, actress, and TV host. In the 1990s and 1980s she was a well-known supermodel, a prominent presence in magazines and runways as well as in fashion campaigns. Later, she ventured into acting and also started a business. When she was in her sophomore year at high school, she received an inquiry from a local clothing shop about modeling opportunities, only to discover it was a prank played by two of her fellow classmates. Crawford was contacted by a different store the following year to be a model for them. They also had an event for fashion. Roger Legel (a local photographer) approached Crawford during her junior year to shoot her. The task included shooting with Crawford for the magazine. Crawford was inspired to try modeling after the positive feedback and photo she received. At first, she worked for a small agency. Elite Model Management sold her to the agency soon after signing. At the age of 17, she entered Elite's Look of the Year contest and made it to the national finals.
