After playing an important role in horror film Scream it was her turn to make headlines. Commercially, the film achieved the highest level of commercial success. Its budget was greater than ten times what it earned. The critics also liked the film. Her character was the same in the films three sequels. Her popularity soared to new levels of popularity after playing a major role in Friends which is a well-known sitcom. She received awards and nominations many times.
